We've researched, organized and analysed aboriginal language place names and NGO membership lists, criminal records and satellite images, urban infrastructure and chemical weapons sites. We've studied and presented land use in the Caribbean, cleanup sites in the Arctic, and the adoption of technology by business.
For thousands of years, Inuit have used highly descriptive place names to
navigate in the Arctic. Translating these Inuktitut place name descriptions into
English and putting them in a searchable database connected to an online map
tells the world what Inuit have known for generations: the Arctic is alive with
